OK???

My 19 year old son is home from college for 4 weeks. A few days ago, he looks at me and says Mom, I can really tell you are losing a lot of weight. I say thank you! He says, is your baggy/ wrinkly skin ( I can't remember the exact word he used) going to shrink back up later? Maybe I hope so, I say! Then he says ---If not then WHY are you doing this??? Well OK!!! I came back with ---so I can walk and feel better and be healthier as I grow older. Then he said --Well then, I'm glad you did it!!

Aaah--- Out of the mouths of babes.

Asshole!

Gotta love em! ;-)

That was my first thought-out of the mouths of babes and as Dinnerland says-Kids say the darndest things. I haven't yet heard that from anyone close but it is sure to surface. I agree with you-being able to get out and do things easily is our ultimate reason. And when you are still alive and healthy when your son marries, he will see that. Gave me a little laugh though. He would be mortified to know you spread his comments out here in cyberspace :-)

Kids - they say what ever they are thinking - my grandson told me that a friend of his asked him - Do you know that old lady? (talking about me on one of the days I was waiting for him and his sister to come out of school so I could take them home) So I said.... so she thinks I am old and he said "yeah, but you got to realize to anyone our age - anyone over 30 is "old" - that made me feel better..... NOT !
